Intro
If you’re looking for a new way to change your gaming experience, then you’ve probably been looking into gaming controllers. Whether you prefer playing with an actual controller, you want to learn a new style of play, trying to find a way to make Nintendo Switch play easier, then a gaming controller is a great way to go. While there are many options on the market this review is going to focus on the BRHE Wireless Switch Controller that sells for roughly $20 dollars on Amazon at the time of writing this review.
This controller is advertised as having Android, IOS, Nintendo Switch, and PC capabilities and will connect through Bluetooth to whatever technology you want to connect to so long as you charge it first. This review will focus on the gameplay, how the controller looks and the Pros and Cons of this specific product so that you can make your decision on whether you want to purchase the controller or not. With that let’s get into the review.

Controller Application
The first aspect of the BRHE Wireless controller that is worth mentioning is the connectivity of the controller. The controller is Bluetooth and will work for 6-8 hours if you charge it on your computer for 1-1.5 hours. The controller feels light and small when held, which is a plus for gamers with smaller hands. The plastic feels cheaper to the touch but given how affordable the price is this aspect is balanced out.
This fact does not take away from the overall feel of the controller and really only applies to the base of the product. The various buttons show no sign of stickiness, and the joysticks move almost seamlessly when playing games such as Stardew Valley or Animal Crossing. This from about a week of playing with the controller so time will tell whether stick drift is more of an element with more given play.
The controller joysticks have a wide range of motion but do not react as soon as a joycon would. This is a small detail that should not greatly affect your overall gaming experience.
One aspect to be addressed is the varying console capabilities of the controller. As mentioned, the controller is mainly advertised for the Nintendo Switch with capabilities for IOS, Android, and PC.
No matter what platform you will be using this controller on you are going to have to plug it in the first time that you use it in order for the Bluetooth to connect. Given this aspect of the product, a few of the platforms that are advertised are simply out of the question. The plug in does not work for IOS platforms such as iPad or phones as the charging cord is not adaptable to the plug ins for those devices.
While you can plug the controller into a PC the controller is only compatible with computers that run Windows 7,8, and 10. While you can still charge your controller on these computers you cannot use the controller if it does not run the right edition of Windows.
Where this controller really seems to shine is with the Nintendo Switch and this makes sense given that this platform is the one that the controller is initially advertised for. Once you’ve connected the controller to your Nintendo Switch console the controller will connect automatically via Bluetooth any time you turn the controller on.
The controller works wonderfully with Nintendo Switch games as the joysticks and buttons utilize a smooth gaming experience. It also works well with the OLED Nintendo Switch and the base level Nintendo Switch so that is not an aspect that you need to be concerned about.
This controller also comes with programmable keys (referred to as the MACROS function) and the Turbo function that changes the intensity of the vibrations given to the controller whenever you make a more radical movement in the game.
Controller Aesthetics
As far as aesthetics are concerned the controller is very cute in person. This model also comes in the colors black and pink but this controller also comes in black, mint green, and light blue if you are looking for other colors as well.
This color and model also come with two separate sets of paw print thumb caps in pink and white to decorate your controller with. This saves you from having to buy cute thumb pads separately as these even match the aesthetic of this particular model.
This aesthetic is great if you’re looking for a controller that is cute but not overtly adorable controller. This is a cute controller that will fit with certain set-ups to create a more unique aesthetic.
Pros
- Great for Nintendo Switch players.
- Cute aesthetic.
- Comes with thumb caps.
- Solid playability for the price.
- Long play time with comparatively short charging time.
- Consistent connectivity.
Cons
- Not recommended for platforms besides the Nintendo Switch.
- Not as accurate as classic joysons when it comes to playing on the Nintendo Switch.
Conclusion
Despite the limited range of compatibility for this model The BRHE Wireless Switch Controller is a solid more affordable option for gamers who are looking for a new wireless switch controller. This is a cute gaming accessory that can really deepen your gaming experience if you are looking for new ways to change up your gaming sessions.
The cute aesthetic and smooth gameplay are great especially if you want a new Nintendo Switch controller but aren’t looking for a huge price tag. However, while the controller is advertised for being useful for multiple platforms, if you are looking for a controller that you want to use for PC consider looking elsewhere.
Regardless, for those of you who are looking for a controller that will heighten your Nintendo Switch experience, that has a cute aesthetic, and will not break the bank consider giving this one a go.

Digging the paw prints, pink and size of controller. The size for your hands is something I hadn’t thought of before your article.
