First Impressions

                When I initially got this pillow, I knew there was a chance that it would come out of the package looking cheap and nothing like the picture. I am happy to say that I am dead wrong. The product came out looking pink, plush, and perfect as it did in the picture.

I was surprised at how comfy it was and how soft to the touch. This review is on the pink and white version, and it looks exactly the way it does in the picture when you view it on Amazon. I will say when I received the product it felt a bit lumpy due to the main toe bean in the middle being one giant lump that is raised above the rest of the pillow. This does not take away from the comfort and does add to the aesthetic of the product.

Size

                The size of the product is also very accurate as it fills up the whole seat of my office chair. The dimensions of the viral paw chair pillow are 31 by about 27 inch (In the large size). It’s big enough to fill a basic office chair without it feeling like it’s bunching while you’re sitting. My main concern was that the pillow would be too bulky and would slide off my office chair way too easily.

But I was pleasantly surprised when the pillow, not only fit my chair perfectly, but slides very little when sat in for hours on end. It’s perfect for a normal chair, an office chair, or even as a floor pillow. The size and shape of the pillow are wonderful and do justice to your comfort after sitting in it for long periods of time.

Comfort

                As mentioned above I stated that this pillow provides hours of comfort and as someone who works from home and plays video games for hours on end, I can say that this pillow does wonders for your sitting experience. It’s the equivalent of taking a giant soft stuffed animal and turning it into a cushion.

Now let me tell you about the shape of the pillow. While the material is comfortable, the shape is a bit, well, unique. It’s paw shaped design gives an unusual sitting experience and the “toes”? of the pillow tend to make the area around your lower back feel like they have two smaller pillows stuck behind you. This feature may or may not be an issues for you depending on your idea of comfort. But if you’re someone who needs more lumbar support or has issues with objects being behind your back when you sit, then this pillow is not for you.

Aesthetic

                Now on to the real reason people are buying this pillow: The look. The aesthetic of this pillow really screams “I love playing Stardew Valley in my spare time and watching Nana while eating adorably shaped snacks out of my Hello Kitty themed dishware.” And let me tell you, I am here for it.

As someone who has a Sanrio themed gaming setup I eat this kind of stuff up. I’ve been trying to decorate every inch of my gaming area to match my aesthetic and my chair was SEVRELY lacking. This paw cushion really added some fun to a more practical aspect of my computer space, and I am loving it. If you’re looking to add a bit more flair to where you sit before watching anime and feeding your snack attack this pillow is for you.

Longevity

                So, I have had this pillow for a week and within that time I have had only one major problem with this pillow. After extensive use I’m sorry to say that it will go a bit flat. Now it’s not anything extreme, and this is a problem that a lot of buyers of this product have stated as being an issue. But the flatness is not a deal breaker. That giant toe bean in the middle ensures a comfortable sit even when the rest of the bottom of the pillow goes a bit flat.

Of course, this aspect doesn’t do much for the looks of the product, but it doesn’t really take away from it’s overall performance as a chair cushion I personally have not had this pillow for longer than a week, so I won’t be able to tell you how it performs at a longer time span such as a year. But for the most part, this cushion has held up decently well over the past week after moderate ware.

Cons

• Will go a bit flat after moderate use.
• Not as forgiving to those who are heavier in build even in the larger size.

Conclusion

                Often when products go viral on the internet, they can come with big promises that don’t necessarily match up with real life. The viral paw chair pillow is, in this humble blogger’s opinion, an exception. This cushion is a fun and comforting addition to any respectable gaming setup, cozy chillout place, or as an emotional support pillow.
