Finding pink gaming accessories over the years has steadily become easier as more companies are catching on to the fact that not just men play video games. While this can still prove to be a challenge there are many more color options available than just black and red.
The first pink headset that seemed to blow up on the market was the Razer Kraken Quartz headset. This model sports a pastel shade of pink with grey accents and, as if the pink wasn’t cute enough, can be modified with kitten ear attachments for added sense of flair.
I know for myself I’ve been having an interesting time trying to find more feminine gaming accessories for my setup that are both aesthetically pleasing yet quality.
Though cute pastel-colored headsets are becoming more commonplace it can be difficult to know what headsets are worth your money and which ones are cheaply made knock offs. Never fear, your Guinea pig is here (me) to test out this perfectly pink headset to know if it’s worth your time or not.

Audio Quality
Given that this is a headset, the first and most important quality that needs to be addressed about this product is how good the audio is.
Overall, the Razer Kraken Quarts Headset has a solid sound when playing video games or listening to music. The sound is clear but not sharp as you venture through whatever task you are striving to accomplish while wearing this pastel piece of pretty eye candy. The sound does not assault your ears unless the volume is turned all the way up giving you more of a tempered listening experience.
The headset does come with Razer’s own software to use for adjusting the headset known as Razer Synapses. When I first used this headset the sound quality was not great and the software did not make things any easier.
Since I’ve bought this headset I have upgraded my PC and I think the software responded better to the upgraded gear that I had so make sure you do your research as I know I was not the only one having issues like this with the headset.
I will say one thing to keep in mind is that this headset is not noise cancelling so if you’re looking for a model that produces that effect then you will not find it with the Razer Quartz.
I do a lot of PC playing and music listening but this headset also works well with consoles such as the Nintendo Switch. So if you’re looking to use this for your Switch this is not a bad option if you need it for more than one style of gaming.
Overall, the sound quality is solid and will work with pretty much any form of gaming that you want to use this headset for.
Mic Quality
The microphone sound is standard for this type of headset. While the microphone is not outstanding it will work pretty well for gaming sessions where you’re doing multiplayer chats.
The quality of this mic is solid though I will say the sound quality of the microphone is a bit soft compared to other headsets on the market. While the microphone will still work with this softer sound the speaking audio comes out a bit quiet. Overall you can still communicate well enough for baseline activities such as talking to friends while gaming for when you’re on a Zoom meeting.
One last aspect to keep in mind about the microphone is that it is retractable. While you can’t remove the microphone fully from the headset you can push it back into the headset so that it’s not in the way.
This is great for those who are planning on having a standalone microphone as you can tuck the microphone away and out of site so that you don’t need to worry about it.
Regardless, the sound quality of the headset is sufficient for whatever you plan on using it for and it is a solid fit sound wise for any user who wants a pink headset for spending time with friends while slaying your enemies in your favorite game.
Fit
One of the shining aspects of this headset (aside from the color) is how the headset fits on your head. Some headsets can feel heavy through long gaming sessions and feel like they are squeezing your skull as time goes on. The Razer Kraken Quarts is very lightweight and sits comfortably for hours of use.
The soft removable earcups don’t hug your ears to death creating a position for the headset to rest nicely around your ears. However, due to the lightweight nature of this headset it can move slightly while in use if you’re no careful. Depending on how you like your headsets to fit you may have to do some subtle adjusting every so often when using the product for long periods of time.
This model is also good for those who wear glasses as the lightweight and loose quality of the product does not smush the frames of your glasses against the sides of your face. As someone who likes to wear thick framed glasses this has been a life saver when playing games or watching videos for long periods of time.
I’ve had headset that will feel like my glasses are being crammed into my face and the headband feels heavy on my head. Neither happened with this headset and it was a sigh of relief when I realized how comfortable this headset was.
Also, while we’re on the subject of comfort another aspect that I really liked about the fit of this headset is how it doesn’t feel big on my head. I’ve tried on headsets that feel incredibly big for my head shape. and while a lot of these headsets are adjustable I feel like I’m wearing alien technology when I put on a pair of some headset.
I’m happy to say that the Razer Kraken Quartz feels quite natural on my head and fits like a glove. Nothing feels over sized and it actually feels like this headset was meant for my head. If you’re someone with a small head and often feel like headsets are too big for you then you will love this headset.
Any discomfort that you may feel will only come after a few HOURS of use and by that time it might be a good idea to take a break to go touch some grass.

While the headset does have some quirks the Razer Kraken Quartz headset is a nice addition to any set up and is worth much of the hype that it has received.
